Dear Listener,
Thanks very much for your interest in Choice Magazine Listening. If you subscribe, you will be joining the thousands of readers who, although they are unable to read regular print because of visual or physical handicap, still enjoy the cream of current magazine writing through our FREE recorded service.
In order to play our tapes, which are yours to keep, you will need a talking book, 4-track cassette player. A qualified applicant can get such a player free, on permanent loan, through the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
If you already have the 4-track player, or you would like us to send you the application to get one, please go to our subscription page and sign up.
For those of you wishing to download the application for the 4-track player electronically, please follow these instructions. After receiving the 4-track player, please remember to return to our site to sign up for your free subscription.
1) Click Here to Download and Print the 4-Track Application Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader
2) Click Here to see the Library of Congress 4-Track Factsheet
3) Click Here to find your Local Library
In addition to four-track tapes, Choice Magazine Listening is also available to download, free of charge, onto your computer through the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Library of Congress (NLS). The new digital talking book machines, which you will need in order to listen to the downloaded material, are being distributed by the NLS. To find out more, go to nlsbard.loc.gov and click on "BARD Application Instructions."
We would be delighted to welcome you as a Choice Magazine Listening subscriber. We look forward to hearing from you.
